The Office

A few weeks ago, I was bored at home and sick in bed.  Life was passing me by and all I could do was watch reruns of “The Office” to keep me from going out of my mind.  I had thoroughly seen all of season one through three because my old roommate had bought them, but I wanted more.  Yes, I wanted to see seasons four and five.  Was that too much to ask for?  I think not!

Well, with the holidays around the corner, and by corner  I mean about two and a half months away, I mentioned that I wanted the bundle of “The Office Season 1-5.”  Luckily, I got my sister into the show and before I knew it, she had bought it and said it was my early Christmas gift because she wanted to see all the episodes too.

My journey began on one Friday and sadly ended on that Sunday night.  I had now seen all of the episodes and I was sad that it had ended.  I wanted it to keep going.  My entertainment had gone and now I was left feeling empty, melancholic and like I had lost something dear to me.

I missed the humorous banter between Michael and his workers, the weird things Creed did around the office, the wonder of what would happen between Jim and Pam and if Angela and Dwight would ever get back together.  Would Stanley ever stop doing his crossword puzzles?

Well, I missed several episodes of Season 6 because I didn’t want to see them without having watched the seasons prior but since my journey had come to an end, I decided to go for it.  The first episode I got into was the “wedding” episode.  Awww!

No matter what, I have yet to see the beginning of Season 6.  To get my fix of The Office, I took out the discs, beginning with Season 1, and started watching the extras.  Yes, the bloopers, the deleted scenes, and of course, the commentaries.

That took me a while but I have now seen everything.  What am I supposed to do now?  What show will fill the void of Kelly’s rants, Oscar’s common sense, Phyllis’ evil side, or Pam’s famous line, “Dunder Mifflin, this is Pam,” or even Jim’s many pranks against Dwight, Angela’s obsession with her cats, Michael’s “That’s what she said.”  Well, until then, I will yearn for that next big thing.

  1. I love that damn show, I could watch it all day….”That’s what SHE said” LMAO 🙂
